Ellen's Vegan Youthful Skin Routine
When I was in my 20s and 30s, I got some cystic acne on my chin and I would get so upset about it. There was a lot of obsession about drying everything out and covering up any spots. I still do get the occasional hormonal breakout, but wisdom has taught me to continue to treat my skin with kindness.
I find that I’m moisturizing and exfoliating more than ever. It’s all about finding the balance between those two—getting rid of dead skin cells and any layers that may be preventing skin care from penetrating, and replenishing with products that really strengthens the skin care barrier. I’m just trying to get that healthy glow that makes you look your best.
Ellen's Must Haves
Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist
I didn’t really believe that damp skin absorbs skin care products better than dry skin until I tried it. Sometimes I mist between each skin care step and I just love what it does—my face feels more plump and rejuvenated.
Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask
I use this every night, but I also love using this during the day with an SPF. I love how it’s so gentle but really smooths out any fine lines I have.
Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask & Avocado Melt Retinol Sleeping Mask
I love how the Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask really smooths textured skin, and how the Avocado Melt Retinol Sleeping Mask helps plump skin and fight wrinkles. I love to alternate them so that I experience both benefits. Right now, I’m using Avocado about 3 nights in a row and then I’ll switch to Watermelon for a night.
