Combined as instructed, this duo seriously irritated my skin
I got this duo for my Sephora birthday gift and after about a week of using as advertised, my skin barrier was seriously compromised. After stopping and using a Centella Serum and ceramide moisturizer, my skin stopped freaking out but I couldn’t figure out why. Turns out it’s not recommended to directly layer bha/Aha exfoliants with niacinimide. I’m not sure if the formula on this toner is supposed to be gentle enough for combining directly but there should definitely be some guidance that it may not work well for sensitive skin.
2 stars bc - Separately- the products seem to work well enough.
